First Nations – Voicethread Project

You and a partner are to research a First Nations tribe of North America (only one partner group per tribe) and show how that group relied upon their environment for their survival.  The form that your final product will take will be a voicethread with explanations and graphics that demonstrate your understanding of the connection between the environment and tribe in question.

Please keep the following in mind:

·         If you choose to work with a partner, you MUST share the work equally.  If you don't think that you can do this, then do it on your own.

·         You need to invite me to view your voicethread.  My email address is jessicam@sd69.bc.ca

Due date: Tuesday, December 14 at 3:05 pm.

Your voicethread must include the following:

1.        Explanations/ discussions showing how the tribe used the environment in the areas of: foodshelter, clothing, transportation, tools, artwork, spiritual beliefs.

These explanations can be typed or, better yet, recorded onto the voicethread (headsets with microphones can be signed out of the library).   Each explanation should be a separate page in voicethread.

2.      Graphics – you should easily be able to find several on the internet

3.      A map showing where the group lived.

4.   A title page that includes the name of the tribe you are studying, your first name and last initial ONLY (this is for security/safety issues), and a graphic.  When you create this title page, use a word document, but save it as a pdf file so that it will upload.

*** This should be aesthetically pleasing (colourful, neat, attractive to the eye)
